This is a live version of a piece for modular synthesizer. Recorded at Fylkingen, Stockholm, 10 June, 2016.

In psychology, memory is the process in which information is encoded, stored, and retrieved. Encoding allows information from the outside world to be sensed in the form of chemical and physical stimuli. In the first stage the information must be changed so that it may be put into the encoding process. Storage is the second memory stage or process. This entails that information is maintained over short periods of time. The third process is the retrieval of information that has been stored.
In telecommunication, a transponder (transmitter-responder) is an automatic unit that receives, amplifies and re-transmits a signal. It gathers signals over a range of up-link frequencies and re-transmits them on a different set of down-link frequencies to receivers on Earth, often without changing the content of the received signal or signals.

Here, a memory transponder is a voltage controlled instrument that receives and stores fragments of past times and minds (one millisecond ago, or from the dawn of time), then re-transmits these signals into the present - altered, but still the same.
